Aqua Fitness/Cardio
Known as the Zumba “pool party,” Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

**Please note that Aqua Zumba routines are NOT done under water, so ladies no need to worry about your hairdo
AquaFit Cardio classes offer you something different to a traditional gym workout and you’ll really see a difference in your overall health and fitness. Typical AquaFit Cardio classes will involve all the exercises you would expect in a ‘dry’ class but with added bonuses you can only get from exercising in water.

Benefits of aerobics in water

Water supports the body, putting less stress on your joints and muscles
This support is great if you’re older, have suffered an injury or are recovering from illness
Water pressure helps the heart move blood around the body, putting less strain on it
The impact of gravity is less in the water allowing a greater range of motion
Working out in water can also prevent overheating, helping you exercise for longer.
And… it’s fun! It is not often you can say that about a workout.

    If you cannot swim, can you still do Aqua Zumba?

      Yes, Betty you can still do Aqua Zumba. We never go under the water. The water is only 4ft deep and sits around the abdomen or lower. If is absolute fun and a great cardio workout at the same time.
